May 20, 2010  Soule PTA Meeting Minutes

 

Attendance: Joan Kurr, Stephen DeVito, Christine Cochran, Donna Dorsett, Anna Parrill, Jackie Buck, Kellie Annicelli, Sherry Kilgus Kramer, Jen Metcalf,  Jen Guliezian, Krsitine Nippert, Becky Edgington, Alicia LaDuke, Peggy Cain

 

Budget report was limited due to computer issues. Overall, PTA is in a good place for the start of next fall. We made $3200 in profit for Calendar Raffle, the incentive prizes of the Limo ride with 3 friends, IPOD shuffle, and gift card helped.

 

Not Your Average Joes month of April on Tuesday Fundraiser brought in a little over $400. Waiting for NYAJ  to send a check to Lucille at Soule.

 

Gaming Application: We still need to complete the application for this so we need to wait for more details. Working somewhat with the Fisk School to help learn about this.

 

Rob Surette: The Kiwanis was able to donate $450 to each PTA that helped out with this event. They will be doing another Elementary School and Kiwanis Event next year, just need to pick the event.

 

NH  STATE PTA Website has opportunities for grants that are available.

 

Becky is working on the Blue Ribbon Award for Volunteer Hours

 

June 5 th Yard Sale, 8am to 1pm, a few tables are still available.

 

Principals Report: NED SHOW: free enrichment program took place today and we will now work on selling yo- yos for 5 days. First day of sales, they sold over $300 in yo-yos.

 

Goals for school volunteer program may be to purchase some computers or to continue to support the technology program at Soule.

 

JUNE 8th, NO KINDERGARTEN due to move up day for K and 1st graders. Need to have someone from PTA speak at this event, hoping it will be Jen G.

Vice President :Tara Hailey,

Treasurers: Jen Metcalf and Jen Gulezian, Jen M. will be with us for one more year only.
