Introductions

Budget – Kristina

Checkbook balance as of 5/15/08    --  $5474.10

We need $3743.96 to finish the year off.  We need at least $1500 to carry over to next year to cover costs of beginning of the year (Red Ribbon Breakfast, Picnic)

We still are being reviewed for grants from Walmart and Paymentech.  The outcome will determine where we stand on purchasing new staging and writing/computer labs.

The Artworks fundraiser brought in $900

We were only 22 magnets shy of the return quota and they did not charge for the non-returns.

Lucille Ramsey will be pre-purchasing laminate likely cost will effect next years budget.  Lucille can go ahead and order.

Discussion of Fall fundraiser

Catalog vs. Fitness Fundraiser – Fitness Fundraiser raised slightly less than $6000 and Catalogs in the past has raised $9000.  Genevieve catalog has 50% profit on catalog items and 40% on inserts.  There are incentives for top sellers.

Vote on Catalog Sales wins 9 yes to 2 no. We will go ahead with catalog sales in the Fall.

Need to promote box tops and websites that benefit the schools.
