March 16, 2010 PTA Minutes

Attendees: Jackie Buck, Anna Parrill, Christine Cochran, Tara Hailey, Joan Kurr, Becky Edgington, Alicia LaDuke, Jen Gulezian

Tentative last Day of School is set at June 18^th so we will not have March 29^th off provided that we have no other days off due to inclement weather.

March is Music Month so they will have the Brass Ensemble and the Staff will perform Staff Idol.

Game Night is the last Thursday in March.

Dental Program is working in the Soule School this month.

Granite State Fit Kids will be helping out 4^th graders so the PTA will need to come up with a donation for this program.

Speed Painter will take place on April 10 th Saturday at Salem High School. Soule has sold 18 tickets thus far.

April 21^st, next PTA meeting at 630 pm.

Budget report:

Expenses: $ 775 Bubble mania Enrichment Program

We made $ 450 for Italian Night

Final Profit for fall fund raiser $2817.74

Anticipated need to generate $3700 to meet remaining expenses to break even. This amount includes the $1000 we typically use for spring playground maintenance.

We will require an additional$1500 to start off the 2010-2011 year next year.

Able to locate several new companies to purchase laminate from cutting our overall cost almost in half and receiving free shipping.
